VOTER GUIDES
PA Supreme Court Retention
In Pennsylvania, judges at every level must stand before voters for an up-or-down retention vote every 10 years. Such ballot choices are usually an afterthought, with judges almost always breezing through. (At the Supreme Court level, only one state justice has ever lost a retention vote: Russell Nigro, in 2005.)
